What's in my bookbag: Fanciful Flights of Regency

Book: First Comes Marriage by Mary Balogh
Summary: Plain sister meets alpha gentleman & they form an unlikely marriage of convenience. Gosh that sounds over-done, but Ms. Balogh does it so well that it becomes fresh in her hands.
Thoughts: I loved, LOVED this book! Seriously, sigh! I stayed up 'til early morning hours to read it, and I am still thinking about it today. The dialogue sparkled. Everything very, very character-driven, which IMO = the best writing. I have been reading this author since I was a teenager, and although I buy & read every new book she releases, some hit me harder than others. I can honestly say that this has got to be one of my favorite Mary Balogh books, ever. I just absolutely fell in love with the heroine. The hero is dry and oh-so intelligent, and written as if he is a man, not a flowery female masquerading in breeches--I hate that. I believed their story every step of the way; nothing was over or under done. Just perfect. Please read with a glass of Chardonnay (or a cup of tea), some classical music in the background, and a cozy quilt.

Moving out

I've decided to combine my personal and sewing blogs into one. I'm going to leave this blog up, but I won't be posting anything...
